Description of project and customer issues

In a context of strong growth and international development, our client An operator of fast charging points for electric vehicles, present in all large and medium-sized European cities, wishes to structure and harmonise its practices by implementing a QSE management system..

In 2023, an initial QSE assessment identified a reactive maturity level and a need for dedicated resources to structure the management system.

In 2025, a second QSE audit was conducted in France, Belgium and Germany.
The main objectives were:

  • Develop a coherent strategy and roadmap at European level.
  • Define a common QSE framework and standards,
  • Assess the maturity of the various sites.

Aegide International was commissioned to conduct an assessment based on a QSE framework, identify strengths and weaknesses, and develop guidelines to standardise local practices and ensure consistency throughout the stations' life cycle.

The purpose of these audits was twofold:

  • Verify that new stations comply with current regulatory requirements.
  • Measure the gap with the company's internal standards in order to identify areas for improvement and ensure harmonised and secure deployment of new installations.

Activities / Tasks and Solutions developed by Aegide International

AEGIDE INTERNATIONAL supported the company in conducting audits of its CNG, LNG and CNG stations through several key actions:

  • Develop a QSE framework tailored to your organisation and aligned with ISO standards.
  • Conduct site visits to assess the maturity level of three countries at different stages of the charging station life cycle: from construction to maintenance.
  • Identify best practices to share and priority gaps to comply with ISO expectations.
  • Facilitate workshops to establish the QSE strategy: Vision, Policy, Objectives, Action Plan.
  • Write a QSE manual to document how the management system works, detailing roles and responsibilities, specific actions at each stage of a station's life cycle, and the improvement process.

Results

The intervention provided a clear picture of the QHSE maturity level in the three countries, enabled the development of a harmonised strategy and the definition of a concrete action plan.
A bilingual QSE manual (English) was drafted to accompany the rollout of the management system. The assignment lasted a total of 29 days.
