The job:
We are looking for a Junior/intermediate HSE consultant to strengthen our HSE support and consultancy teams, and in particular to provide HSE technical assistance to one of our customers, an international IT services provider, for whom you will be seconded for 15 days a month, remotely from our offices in Bordeaux.
In addition, during the remaining 5-6 days a month, you will have the opportunity to work on other substantive subjects within your BU, to collaborate on cross-functional projects, etc. Our aim is for you to support you as you develop your skills.
- Contract: Full-time permanent contract
- Working hours: 39 hours/week
- Location: Bordeaux - Aegide International offices
- Travel: occasional to frequent in France and abroad depending on customer needs and assignments

Your main tasks:
As an HSE Consultant, you will mainly be involved in the following areas:
Health and Safety at Work :
- Maintain France's health and safety management system in coordination with stakeholders,
- Promote and ensure compliance with legislation in France,
- Working with occupational health nurses.
Health and Safety Risk Management :
- Identify and control the risks associated with the customer's activities,
- Managing risks and monitoring external contractors,
- Identify and monitor risks relating to vulnerable groups/employees.
Fire and Emergency :
- Organise drills and draw up plans and procedures (fire, flood),
- Fire and emergency information and training,
- Maintaining an up-to-date fire plan and managing first-aiders.
Information et Communication :
- Providing health and safety information to employees and other stakeholders,
- Working with employee representatives and participating in CSE committees.
Incident Reporting :
- Report and investigate accidents using a cause analysis method,
- Monitoring indicators and producing documents following an accident/incident,
- Monitoring and implementing training programmes.
Your profile:
With 3 or 5 years' higher education in QHSE, you will have gained initial successful experience in the QHSE field, preferably in the tertiary or IT sectors.
You are rigorous and at ease with reporting, while at the same time being able to summarise. Your autonomy and sense of priorities enable you to manage urgent matters and to deal easily with all the parties involved. Your customer service and interpersonal skills enable you to adapt to different people and contexts. Your proactivity enables you to be a driving force behind the projects you take on.
You have a good command of English: in fact, you'll be required to speak and write in the language of Shakespeare on a daily basis!
This skill will be tested during our first exchange.
You will be mobile at least within France and ideally internationally (a valid driving licence is essential), and may be required to travel on a weekly basis if you are eventually asked to move on to another project following this one.
